At Sasquatch Tea, we consider ourselves “big tea guys” meaning we are not ones to pass up a good cup of tea at any time of the day, but did you know there could be health benefits to becoming a “big tea guy” yourself?

Tea has been a drink of choice by people around the world for many centuries. Luckily for them, drinking tea has been found to fight off cancer, heart disease, and inflammation. Certain teas can even help boost your immune system (*cough cough* if you are trying to avoid a cold, now might be a good time to start drinking tea)!

Here is a list of our teas and the linked health benefits of each –

Shenandoah Sunset – Caffeine Free, Green Rooibos Tea

Shenandoah Sunset is your evening cup of relaxation. There is no better place to represent a sunset than the Shenandoah National Park skyline drive overlooking 100 miles of stunning mountain views. Shenandoah Sunset is a Green Rooibos tea with eucalyptus and lemongrass (which provide antioxidants, anti-inflammatories, and immunity boosters). Add a touch of honey, and it is like a calming cocktail of Mother Nature.

According to Penn Medicine, Rooibos Tea “improves blood pressure and circulation, boosts good cholesterol while lowering bad cholesterol, keeps hair strong and skin healthy, and provides relief from allergies.”

Badlands Breakfast – Black Tea

Badlands Breakfast is your classic morning pick-me-up. Just as Badlands National Park displays a bold and rugged terrain, Badlands Breakfast is a robust and full-flavored Irish Breakfast tea. This tea is perfect black or to enjoy with cream and sugar to get your ass in gear to take on the day.

Black tea is known to provide you with flavonoids, which help boost your immunity and prevent inflammation. However, since black tea is caffeinated, it is always a good idea to monitor how much you are drinking.

Kings Canyon Cream – Black Tea

Kings Canyon Cream is the crème de la crème of our teas. Kings Canyon National Park’s rich landscape boasts the deepest valley and largest grove of sequoia trees. When you feel like royalty; and want something more than regular black tea, Kings Canyon Cream is an impeccable blend of black tea with a hint of vanilla and a subtle cream finish. This one is a Sasquatch family favorite, and trust us, they are our biggest critics.

While we recommend drinking this delicious black tea, did you know that black tea also has health benefits that don’t come from drinking it? Penn Medicine states that black tea “can be steamed, cooled, and then pressed on minor cuts, scrapes, and bruises to relieve pain and reduce swelling. A black tea bath can also ease inflammation caused by skin rashes and conditions such as poison ivy.”
